This recipe follows the method of Apple Fritters I. . Read the method above for any substitutions or additions specific to this recipe.

Method

  1. Pare, core, and cut apples in eighths, then cut eighths in slices and stir into batter.
  2. Drop by spoonfuls and fry in deep fat. (See Rules for Testing Fat, page 23.)
  3. Drain on brown paper, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  4. Serve hot on a folded napkin.
