Ingredients

  • sponge cake
  • butter
  • canned peaches
  • powdered sugar
  • few drops lemon juice
  • slight grating nutmeg, grated
  • one tablespoon butter

Method

  1. Sauté circular pieces of sponge cake in butter until delicately browned. ( Sponge Cake. )
  2. Drain canned peaches, sprinkle with powdered sugar, few drops lemon juice, and slight grating nutmeg. ( Canned Peaches. )
  3. Melt one tablespoon butter, add peaches, and when heated, serve on cake.
