Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder

Method

  1. Cream the butter; add sugar and egg well beaten; sift baking powder with flour, and add to the first mixture, alternating with milk.
  2. Bake in buttered tin gem pans twenty-five minutes.

  • Gem pans are small, shallow muffin tins.
