Ingredients

  • mushrooms
  • three-fourths cup cream
  • a slight grating nutmeg
  • small pieces dry toast
  • toast points

Method

  1. Prepare mushrooms as for Stewed Mushrooms. ( Stewed Mushrooms. )
  2. Cook with three-fourths cup cream instead of using water or stock.
  3. Add a slight grating of nutmeg, pour over small pieces of dry toast, and garnish with toast points. ( Dry Toast. )
