Ingredients

  • 1 per cup lemon, thin slice
  • a few drops per cup lemon-juice
  • to taste sugar
  • 1 per cup preserved strawberry
  • 1 per cup candied cherry

Method

  1. Follow recipe for making tea.
  2. Russian tea may be served hot or cold, but always without milk.
  3. A thin slice of lemon, from which seeds have been removed, or a few drops of lemon-juice, is allowed for each cup.
  4. Sugar is added according to taste.
  5. In Russia a preserved strawberry to each cup is considered an improvement.
  6. We imitate our Russian friends by garnishing with a candied cherry.
