This recipe follows the method of Raspberry Jam. . Read the method above for any substitutions or additions specific to this recipe.

Method

  1. Pick over raspberries.
  2. Mash a few in the bottom of a preserving kettle, using a wooden potato masher, and so continue until the fruit is used.
  3. Heat slowly to boiling point, and add gradually an equal quantity of heated sugar.
  4. Cook slowly forty-five minutes.
  5. Put in a stone jar or tumblers.
