Baked Sweet Apples.

Ingredients

  • eight sweet apples
  • one-third cup sugar
  • to sweeten molasses
  • two-thirds cup boiling water

Method

  1. Wipe and core eight sweet apples.
  2. Put in a baking-dish, and fill cavities with sugar, allowing one-third cup, or sweeten with molasses.
  3. Add two-thirds cup boiling water.
  4. Cover, and bake three hours in a slow oven, adding more water if necessary.
